Stainless Steel, 316L
This grade is a Cr-Ni Austenitic Steel that contains an addition of molybdenum that gives improved corrosion resistance. This is particularly apparent for pitting in chloride environments and provides increased strength at elevated temperatures. Typical uses include food processing equipment, brewery equipment, chemical and petrochemical equipment, furnace parts, heat exchangers, jet engine parts, digesters and parts exposed to marine atmospheres.
