Stainless Steel, 422
This grade is hardenable Martensitic Cr Steel. Sometimes used in the annealed condition, but 422 stainless steel bars achieve its best corrosion resistance when hardened then stress relieved and is widely used in upto 1200F temperatures. Applications are Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Oil and Gas compressor Parts.
